Folder takes a long time to open due to entries exceeding 32KB in FAT32.
Cause:
This problem can occur if the total space used by all directory entries exceeds 32KB in a FAT32 file system.
Solution:
Transfer some files from the current folder to another folder.
1) Open Windows Explorer.
2) In the left pane, double-click to open the folder that was slow to open, and if necessary, wait until the folder opens. (In the left pane, the selected folder opens. In the right pane, the contents of the folders appear.)
3) Select half of the files in the right pane.
4) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Cut'.
5) In the left pane, double-click to open another folder that is less full. (The folder opens.)
6) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Paste'.
7) If necessary, repeat steps 2) through 6) until the problem is resolved.
